This comedy by one of America's most respected playwights invites us to consider what family life would be like for a practical and loving mother, a wise and gentle father, and a son whose yearning for real and true experiences takes him on a wild ride from the bosom of his tranquil home into the jaws of life in the big city.
Set in 1906, the play creates an adolescence O'Neill himself wished he'd had, in which danger and angst are balanced with love and laughter; where one can flirt with disaster and learn hard lessons the first time around.
Nostalgic and insightful, Ah, Wilderness! will charm audiences ages 12 and above. A co-production with McCallum Fine Arts Academy.
