Some common problems you may want to check
for are:
**NOTE** do not reboot your equipment without
first contacting your IT department. A reboot can bring down
other dependent systems.
- Reseat (unplug and plug back in) cord connections to your
equipment (computer, router etc.)
- To confirm that there isn't a possible physical connection
issue, run the suggested test below. This test will verify
your computers abillity to receive a response from your
router. If there is no response and/or default gateway,
then the problem may be within your network and not the
DSL or T1 line.
- In Windows, click Start > Run then type 'command'
without quotes then hit <enter> or <ok>
- At the C prompt type ipconfig then hit <enter>
- The last line should list the default gateway (it
will be a series of 4 numbers separated by . ex: 200.200.200.20)
- then type ping and the default gateway (ex: ping 200.200.200.20)
- Reboot equipment (computer, router etc.)
**NOTE** If your system requires frequent
reboots call tech support while your system is down (before
you reboot) so we can properly diagnose a chronic problem. |
