This site redesign was originally built for
Secretary of State Henry Cuellar, but was flexible enough to accommodate the
change in secretaries when Gwen Shea took office partway through
development. We developed a ‘Bobby’ approved homepage
design and templates for each subsection of the site for SOS
to build out once the copy was finalized. The site successfully
included dynamic dropdowns (which in other sites can sometimes
tend to challenge accessibility issues) and photos to denote
various subsections of the site ensuring the vast navigation
was user-friendly. The designs were developed for Internet
browser versions 3.0 and above, with intense testing. In addition,
we developed a fully accessible style sheet selector to accommodate
users needing larger print for easier readability.
