Spam Filter Setup for Netscape 4.x
1. Message Filters
- Open the Message Filters dialogue from the Mail window
Edit>Message Filters click "New..." to
begin a new filter.
2. Filter Rules
Filter name: Give the filter an appropriate name.
Filter Criteria
- "Match all of the following"
- change "sender" to "subject"
- change "contains" to "begins with"
- in the blank, fill in *****SPAM***** (five asteriks, the
capitalized word SPAM, five more asteriks, no spaces)
Filter Action
- "Move to folder"
- click "New Folder" and name it SPAM
- change the "Inbox" to "SPAM" and click OK
3. The entire rule should look like this:
5. Click "OK" and you'll see the rule in the list
of rules. It should have a check mark next to it.
6. click "OK" and we're done.
