(June 17, 2003, Austin, Texas) Onramp Access, a regional
ISP, co-location provider and web development company announced its
completion of the newly launched website for Austin-based TekSavers,
Inc. The three month project included a graphic redesign as well
as the integration of a custom, fully functional ‘web store’ application
that provides full e-commerce and inventory management of products.
“We’re very excited to have been able to do this work for TekSavers,” said
Onramp Access President Chad Kissinger. “They’ve got a very unique
business idea and this new website will allow them to effectively manage direct
sales, fulfillment and the relationships with their customers.”
TekSavers buys and sells used technology equipment from several manufacturers
including Cisco, Sun Microsystems and Compaq. Products are fully tested and
guaranteed with a 90-day warranty and are offered at savings of up to 90-percent
off list prices. The new website lets customers search available products
by category or manufacturer and provides brief ‘condition’ status of all pre-owned items.
“OnRamp did a great job of taking our existing business process and adding the
customized functionality of their e-commerce module,” said Juan Staalenburg,
President of TekSavers. “They were able to seamlessly integrate pre-existing
features of our backend database and enhance the process with end-to-end management
of customer orders from the purchasing stage to the fulfillment and shipping
stages.”
The new site is located at www.teksavers.com and targets customers
wanting to purchase used hardware as well as companies looking to dispose of surplus
equipment.
